What we look for in submissions:

Artists who are comfortable playing and speaking live in front of a small, attentive and captive audience. This space values presence, storytelling and authenticity as much as performance.

Artists who are actively writing songs and recording music. We are interested in work that feels alive and evolving, not just a retrospective of past releases.

A genuine investment in songwriting as an expressive craft.

Artists who value intimacy and honesty over spectacle. East Boone Listening Room favors thoughtful lyrics, emotional clarity, and performances that feel personal and human. Willingness to engage with the audience, whether through brief stories, reflections on the writing process, or moments of vulnerability; we appreciate the artists who see the room as a shared experience rather than a one way performance.
